Some of the questions I get are rather interesting, here is one example.

Mozilla help?
okay i had mozilla firefox 3.0 i uninstalled it b/c i wasn’t able to view videos on there it said i had to download java script but i already have it so then i downloaded mozilla 2.0.15 i thought i would work this time and it still works?
its been over a month and videos can’t be played on my mozilla
what do i do to make it work?

Answer: So download Java it is used for a 1001 things. Then put fox 3 back

What is going on here is the software, in this case has been updated but the user did not update his copy. Just because there was an existing installation of java does not mean it is up to date. When software developers write code they attempt to use the most recent release of the interfacing software. Mozilla Firefox 3 is smart enough to complain if all the pieces are not there that it needs. It even has some built in code for when it crashes. On the next launch or before shutdown it will throw up a dialog window so you can let the developers know what happened. Really neat in my opinion at least it lets me think the developers care.

Let’s not forget that this all began as an open source project and is a success. Just because something is free does not mean without value. In many ways firefox is much better than Microsofts(TM) IE
