There are many web sites that appear to condone and permit the piracy of copyrighted material. Some sites are more benign than others. Some sites allow advise as to how to get better performance form the Peer programs. Personally any discussion at all on how to employ a peer program in any fashion other than point to point connections should be banned. These programs are easily detected and easily blocked. In any event here are some points that are to keep in mind when you use a peer program.

#1 Violation of the Federal Anti-Bootleg Act can result in no more than five years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.

#2 Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a proponent of the copyright laws protecting works of music, film, and alike.  The website contains an abundance of information concerning copyright laws and actions that can be taken to prevent against copyright infringement. #3 Even though most Americans who use file sharing programs and services know they are breaking the law by engaging in copyright infringement, many continue to do so with total disregard of the law.  With organizations such as the Recording Industry Association of America who are prosecuting at such a high rate the number of persons engaging in copyright infringement, I believe people will become more hesitant to continue to use file sharing programs and begin using legal, paid downloading websites and programs.  Is it really worth the amount of time spent in jail or the money spent on fines for the remedies to copyright infringement just for a song or motion picture downloaded?  According to the estimated sixty million Americans using file sharing programs and engaging in illegal copyright infringement, the answer is, yes.
